When I was growing up, I didn’t have the proper tools to regulate my emotions. I was taught that they were a nuisance, something to be feared and that all they did was make others around me uncomfortable. As a result of suppressing my feelings, I felt completely disconnected from my True Authentic Self for most of my life. This has lead to many struggles as a young adult, both emotionally and mentally, since unresolved emotions get stored in our bodies which wreaks havoc on our overall wellbeing.
What many of us have been taught when it comes to feeling our feelings is to either numb them out because they are “too much” or will get in the way of our daily lives. This creates all sorts of imbalances because in truth, we are Divine Beings having a human experience, and are meant to experience the full scope of our feelings and emotions. It is through feeling our feelings and loving ourselves where we feel hurt that we are naturally led to our True Life Purpose and our Harmonious Twin Flame Union.
If you are reading this, you are likely able to relate to the above to some degree. However, I have been a part of the Twin Flames Universe community for a little over 3 years now, and one thing I have learnt is to FEEL my feelings fully. That my feelings are safe and cannot harm me in any way. That in fact, feeling my feelings is the way to moving forward on my Twin Flame journey since they lead me to my True Twin Flame. Road blocks that we experience in our external reality are simply blocks that we have within our own consciousness. Once we feel through the feelings and give ourselves the love we need, the block will naturally dissolve and a way forward will always be shown to us.
How do I feel my feelings?
Feeling your feelings is a matter of choice and letting go of control. You may have been used to avoiding them, or pushing them down which is a result of trying to control - so you might need to make a new choice here to feel your feelings. Then, allow them to come up to the surface, without judgement, and simply be with yourself in this space. There is nothing you need to do, but to be with this feeling. You can choose to have compassion for this part of yourself as you let them know they are completely safe in feeling what is there.
The Mirror Exercise Now, if you desire to truly heal your consciousness you will want to learn how to use the tool called the Mirror Exercise. This is a powerful healing tool taught by my gurus Jeff and Shaleia, which is all you need to heal separation from your True Twin Flame. It helps you pinpoint the places in your consciousness where you are feeling upset so that you can love yourself there and bring these parts of yourself back to a state of peace.
I will show you an example of the four steps of the Mirror Exercise. Say you are upset because your Twin Flame is not committing to you and putting you first. You would put this in step 1 like this: Step 1 – I’m upset with my Twin Flame because they are not committing to me and putting me first. Then, you turn all the nouns in the first step to pronouns for Step 2 . It will look like this:
Step 2 – I’m upset with myself because I am not committing to myself and putting myself first. Step 3 – Ask yourself: Is there any truth to this statement? (The answer is always yes!) You can also ask yourself why am I not committing to myself? It could be that you feel unworthy of commitment, there might be some fear of commitment. Just be present with what this part of you has to say if they have anything to say. Step 4 – Ask this part of yourself what it needs to feel loved. Is it deeper committment to yourself? Worthiness? Validation? Give yourself all the love he/she needs until you feel complete and peaceful. The last part of this step is to invite this part of you back home and integrate them into who you are today. In Jeff and Shaleia’s book “Twin Flames: Finding Your Ultimate Lover”, this is how this looks like:
“Close your eyes and imagine meeting the part of you which is not feeling loved, which you have identified to have been creating the issue which has arisen. Invite it to come closer to you, then invite it into a hug. Hug that part of you with an open heart, bringing that part of yourself deep into a loving hug. Tell that part of you how much you love it and pull it in even closer into you. If they haven’t completely melted into you and become a part of you, give them more love. Choose to love the part of you calling for love wholly. […] Your subconscious mind is going to do all the work for you if you choose to visualize and love this part of you that is out of alignment with love. Once you sense this part of you is loved and integrated and relieved in peace, you are complete.”
And there you are, this is how you complete a Mirror Exercise. We recommend you use it everytime you feel upset or triggered by something in your reality, Twin Flame or non Twin Flame related so you can return to your natural state of being, which is peace. In doing so, you will effortlessly magnetize your Twin Flame to you.
